Hi~ Here are a few things that I made earlier this year. There is a pair of slippers that I made my 5 year old for Valentine's Day.... she was still 4 at the time.

Then we have a picture of My Little Girl wearing the Hat & Scarf Set I made for her. She wore it everywhere she could.

Here is a Hat & Scarf that I made for my Niece. The Slippers I made from a Pattern. The Hat & Scarf set I just made up as I went along.I didn't write the pattern down for these either.I have an odd way of making hats. Most patterns start hats at the top/ crown. I do it "backwards". I measure the persons head circumference & I start crocheting from the rim of the Hat & I go up towards the crown! Somehow this method is easier for me to do.

Hi! I'm back with more Crocheted stuff to share. Here is a Pillow that I made my Best Friend for her Birthday last year ( her b-day is the end of August). It is a large 18 X 18 inches, not including the ruffle. The top (front) of the pillow if crocheted off the top of my head... I never wrote the pattern down. For the Back I chose a Blue Floral Fabric, but either side is pretty enough to display. To tell the truth, I don't know if I will be able to duplicate this one. It took me about 2 months to complete. SO this will be forever a OOAK ( one of a kind) pillow.

My Business LOGO is embroidered into the bottom corner of the pillow. It is the "M" with the crescent Moon.

Hi~ I am back today with more pictures of gifts I have made for people. These are two reversible Pink Bags that I made for my Best friends' little girls. One is a shoulder bag & one is a Pull-string bag. Both have the Flowered pink Fabric inside & are totally reversible; they can be used with either the all pink crochet side out, or with the floral print fabric out. I can re-make these, but I haven't written the pattern's down. I like to create as I crochet, & that stopping to write what I do down just takes me too long.

Hi to All~ I thought that today I would share some of the crochet things I have made as gifts for people so far this year. None of these were made from a written pattern, I created them as I went along. The first 3 pictures is of a reversible Black bag I made my oldest daughter last year for her Birthday. It is Black with red fun fur & it has a Black lining with little red cherries on the fabric. I also made her a scarf to match. I used no pattern for these.

Here are 2 pairs of fun fur flip-flops I made. I just did sc all around the top of these until they were full of fluffy fun fur.The first Pair is of Black with Cherries that I added the red Fun fur too. These I made for my 5 year old, who loved them. The Red Flip-flops with the black fur trim are mine. I did mine all in sc also.It is easy to do & if u get tired of the fun fur, or the get messed up, you can always cut off the messed up/dirty fun fur & re-place it!

I do have a bunch more stuff I made as gifts, but I will share those with you all later. Enjoy!

Greetings! As I promised in a previous post. Here are the pictures of the "Surprize Sunflower Desk Set" that I made my sister for our Birthday. I say "our Birthday" because we are Twins & share the same Birthday. I made these for her because she loves Sunflowers & I wanted to surprize her. Well, like with most of my crochet projects, I made this one up as I went along & did not write down the pattern. But hopefully, some day I will. I did use brown & yellow worst weight yarn. There is a tissue box cover & one large pen'pencil holder & one smaller holder. I don't know if she has received these yet or not, we live in different States, I mailed them out about 5-6 days ago. I do hope everyone enjoys the pictures........

Thought for today:
Have you ever made something special for someone & packaged it really pretty, just to have someone else who knows about it tell them what it is? ( Before they open it, Even the person who told the recipient was also very excited about it.) And then have the person to whom the gift was given to not even open the package to look at it? Even after one of your children re-hands it to them for them to open it............How would that make you feel? What a downer.

Well, I am back to blog for the second time today. I thought I'd share the neat Desk accessories I made for my little girl's desk. A tissue box cover, the small cup is a crayon holder ( holds 16 large crayons), & a square broken crayon catcher. Actually the square container can be used for anything, but she wanted a broken crayon holder. She now wants me to cover her trash can to match. Then she mentioned matching curtains.... I don't know about crocheting curtains out of worst weight yarn.... maybe a valance?......interesting thought though. The cup I used for the crayon holder is a plastic , washed out 8 oz yogurt cup. The square container is a small plastic , washed out potato salad container. As with most of my creations, I did not write the pattern done for these. But I can make pretty things out of very ordinary containers. Right now I am working on a surprise set for my sister's birthday, which is next week. The surprise set is totally different from this set. Next week I will post a picture of that set.

Greetings! It is 89 degrees outside, & somehow feels much hotter. I prefer the comfort of air-conditioning. My front lawn has done it's best to live.... but somehow is turning brown. I give up. I am sure it will return a lovely green next spring. The porch Flowers look good (middle). My Rose Bushes are doing well, inspite of me ( bottom). My Weeping Cherry Tree in the front yard continues to believe it is a Bush (top).

Greetings!
I'm back to blog. Let's see what is new......... I designed & crocheted this awesome bag that I now have up on ebay for auction ( my seller ID is sexymoonmama). Okay, don't laugh, it is a long story how I got that ID, but it is very original, & totally "ME".
Anyway here is the Lovely Red & Black Crocheted Ladybug bag. It is , of course, one of a kind ( OOAK). I didn't write that pattern down to this one either.

Well, let's see now, what other stuff did I do today? Well, Yesterday I cleaned up my 5 year olds' room, because I was going to shampoo her carpet today. I went upstairs after breakfast & everything was scattered all over the floor again.........I am going to have to re-think my approach to shampooing her carpet......oh, well.

Gee, I have tried to publish this post several times already today. I guess the Blogger must be having some technical problems. What a bummer!
Okay. I'm back ano hour later. Let's see if I can publish this post..............

Hi again~ Here are some pictures of Crocheted & Beaded Scrunchies that I created. My 5 year old is wearing the purple one. These are all my own patterns. I haven't written them down yet, but I do plan to do so some day. Hope you all Enjoy the pictures.

Good Morning! This is my second day Blogging. This Blogging thing is just too cool. This is one of those Mornings I wished I could stay in bed until 12 Noon; but of course, that does not happen when you are a Mom. My kids were good though, with it being Summer & all, they actually watched TV , before deciding that Mom needed to get up at 9:00 am. So all have had breakfast, & here I am blogging. As I promised , think I figured out how to upload pictures to my Blog. So let me share on of my recent creations. This is a crocheted "Flower Garden Cat Bed" that I made for my Tinkerbelle's First Birthday on June 26th. But like most Cats, she only uses it when it pleases her. She seems to likes grooming herself on it, so my kids call it "Tinkerbelle's Beauty Parlor". Unfortunately the pattern for this Cat Bed is in my head, I did not write it down. Oh, I am sure I could make another cat bed, but it would not be the exact same one, so I guess you can say that this is One of a Kind (OOAK). Here is a Picture of My little Tinkerbelle when I adopted her 6 months ago ( she is 1 year old now & weighs about 8 pounds). If I can get her in a good pose I will share a more recent picture of her at a later time. Well, that is it for now. I have so many OOAK Crocheted & beaded things that I have made, that I promise to be return with more. But for now, hope you all enjoy your day.

Greetings to all & Welcome to My blog!

In this Blog I will Post where my Escapades in Crafting, mainly Crocheting & Beading have lead me. I learned to Crochet from my Grandmother, when I was 7 years old (ever so many moons ago). I have stopped & picked up my crochet hooks, many times through the years. I did crochet several afghans in high school ( one of these somehow turned into a bedspread, don't ask me how.....maybe it was a surplus of granny squares?), Baby clothes in College, & then later more baby items when I had my three wonderful children.

I have become crochet obsessed over the last year; this is mostly do to the fault of my best friend, Stephanie, who is a crochet Instructor ( I am sure she is very please that I blame her for this). First of all let me tell you, I HATE READING PATTERNS. I hate all those little symbols, yet nothing has fascinated me more then teaching myself to write HTML! (Go figure that one). In the past, when I have become stuck in a pattern, & have just looked at the picture & then some how finished the item, so that it looks like the picture.....forget the pattern.

I was free-hand crocheting hand bags this past fall, & adding beads to them, as I am a beading enthusiast ( who needs a pattern here?), and my Friend challenged me to crochet a miniature bear from a pattern she emailed me. Well, I just had to try & I did it! WOW! I followed the pattern, the entire pattern! Amazing! And since that moment, I was hooked for life! I LOVE CROCHET. This is awesome. I do some things from patterns now, but I love creating my own things with no pattern; Hand Bags, pillows, tissue box covers, vests, teddy bear clothing, & more! But here is the problem, I hate writting down the patterns as I create something new. What a pain to crochet, stop & write, crochet, stop & write! It seems like it takes for ever. I did manage to write down my first entire pattern last week; it is to a 3 Cats Throw Rug that I created for my 5 year old's room. I will be sharing pictures of my creations on this Blog, as soon as I figure out how to to that.
A Bit more about me? Well, I am a very Crafty Mom of 3 school age children. I am also the Mom of two Senior Citizen dogs & three wonderful young Cats. I am a Registered Nurse by Profession. I love the Web, I love Ebay, I love HTML. I also love beading , designing, creating & selling my own Jewelry on ebay.
I thought that blogging would be a neat way to share my newly created crochet & or beaded creations. So, welcome & feel free to post your thoughts. Thank you for visiting.
