In my previous Post I wrote about starting a new Yahoo group this past weekend.The membership to the group is slowly growing.

For those who did not read the previous post,the Group is called " CRAFTY MOM'S FAMILY CRAFTS AND RECIPES" Group. Basically it is for those who like to bake, cook, & do crafts with or for their kids or Grandkids. All kinds of recipes that kids like are welcomed & will be added to a Recipe Data File, which the entire group can access. There are also several folders for Crafts,( such as paper, clay, yarn, glue, etc.)and any pattern that is a kid related craft; whether it is something you help the child make, or something that you would make for the child. I guess that Teachers and Aunts might be interested this group too.

Group membership is obtained by applying for membership or by being invited to join. But as I have had several unusual requests to join the group, I wish to say that we do not want soliciting in this group. Please do not try to join this group to try to sell your product to us, if you do, either your membership will be denied, or it will be terminated if you try to solicit/ sell to group members. I created the group for sharing, not for selling. After all is said if you are honestly interested in joining you can scroll to the bottom of this Blog & there you will find a Yahoo Group Join Button.You may follow that link to join.

Well, I decided to start my own Yahoo Group this weekend. It is a Family Oriented group for Moms & grandmothers that like doing things with their kids & grandkids. The Group is called " CRAFTY MOM'S FAMILY CRAFTS AND RECIPES" Group. Basically it is for those who like to bake, cook, & do crafts with or for their kids or Grandkids. All kinds of recipes that kids like are welcomed & will be added to a Recipe File that the entire group can access. Anyone may request to join the group. After requesting to join you will be asked to fill out a small questionnaire; nothing very personal in this questionnaire. The new member may share as little or as much about themselves as they like. Membership is also available by invitation, so after you join, if you really like the group & you know of any other Ladies that might like the group also please email me & I will send them an invitation to join the group.

The Group is NEW. I just started it yesterday! So far I have 7 members, which isn't bad for only being in existence 24 hours.

Wow, in light of all the commotion regarding Copyright Issues of Crochet Patterns online, all I can say is this: I am very glad that I create my crochet Items as I crochet a long......I am very glad that I hate writing down patterns for what I create....Like I said before I hate to crochet, stop, write, crochet stop write... I prefer to have most of my Crocheted Items be OOAK (one of a kind). At this point I only create My OOAK items for family & friends. My patterns are in my head. Created by me, not shared with anyone, thus I do not have any copyright issues to deal with.

THIS CROCHETTERS' PRAYER: I thank The Good Lord for every time I have become stuck in a crochet pattern & I have had to complete the item I was making, without being able to follow the remainder of the written pattern, for I know it is He who was guiding me.
I also thank the Good Lord for the gift of being able to crochet without a pattern, & I thank Him equally for the inability to write them down. AMEN

Hi~ I am back for the second time today. My 5 year old found a doll that used to belong to my 13 year old in the basement. It needed new clothes so here are pictures of the doll, being fitted & pictures of the dress as it progressed. It took me about 5 days to complete the the whole outfit. I did not use a pattern, these are all custom made dress, bonnet, booties, diaper, & Blankie for this Baby Doll.

Hi~ What a busy week! I've been getting things ready to get my kids off to school. The school year starts at the end of August in Ohio. My little one, who is 5, is having a "pre-kindergarten week" of school this week. She starts Kindergarten at the end of the month.

Of course I have been busy making anklets & other beaded things as well as crocheting.

I've made 5 halter tops for little girls, here my 5 year old is modeling one of them.

I am so excited! Today I was accepted as a member of the Ring of Crochet Blogs!

Hi~ My 5 year wanted some new clothes for one of her dolls. She named the Doll Tiffany. This is a Fashion Doll, but she is slightly bigger then a Barbie Doll. Her back has the year 1886 on it, & it appears that at one time she talked;there is a battery compartment & on/off switch on her back. I guess that at some point I will open the compartment & see what type batties she requires & if she is still functioning/talking. I crocheted a dress with a flower on one shoulder, underwear & shoes/slippers for "Tiffany".
